Curate: Photo Cleaner ยท Effective October 21, 2026
Curate does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. This page explains what the app does with your information.
Your photos
Curate asks for access to your photo library so it can show your photos and delete the ones you choose. Your photos are processed only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. You can grant access to all photos or only to a selection, and you can change this at any time in Settings.
What stays on your device
Curate stores the following locally on your device only: which photos you kept or marked for deletion, your filter and sort choices, and, if you use AI suggestions, the suggestions the app generated. This data is not sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes it.
AI suggestions
The optional AI suggestions use Apple Intelligence, which runs on your device. Photos, video frames and their metadata are analyzed on the device and are not sent to us or to any third party.
iCloud Photos
If you use iCloud Photos with Optimize Storage, the system Photos framework may download original photos from your own iCloud account so Curate can display or analyze them. This is handled by Apple's software under your Apple Account. Curate has no access to your account and receives no data from it.
No tracking, accounts or third parties
Curate has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party code. It does not track you across apps or websites.
Deleting photos
Photos are deleted only when you confirm in the app and in the system prompt. Deleted photos are moved to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where you can recover them for 30 days.
Children
Curate collects no data from anyone, including children.
